Labor Day In New Orleans Means Southern Decadence!

For more than 50 years, Southern Decadence, one of the top five largest events in New Orleans, has taken place every Labor Day Weekend. Also known as the "Gay Mardi Gras" and "our Pride Week," Southern Decadence is the largest LGBT party of the year. Attendees typically arrive on the Wednesday before Labor Day and stay till the following Tuesday.

There will be celebrations all over city, including the Bourbon Street Extravaganza on Saturday afternoon at the corner of Bourbon and St. Ann streets. Then on Sunday, head down to the annual Southern Decadence Parade at 2 p.m.
